About this place
At Mahoraba Coffee, choosing a coffee starts with choosing your beans. The menu includes India’s Barani Hills, a deep roast described as having a vanilla-like aroma and full body, and the light-roast Peru Andes Blue, noted for its citrus acidity. Hot or iced coffee made with your choice of beans costs 500 yen. Diners have mentioned trying deep-roast Ethiopian coffee, and one review describes pairing Ethiopian coffee with dorayaki—a sweet bean-paste-filled pancake—for a relaxing break with Japanese sweets.
One diner enjoyed dried yokan alongside coffee and dorayaki, too. It’s an option for anyone who would rather sample a few sweets with their drink than settle on just one. For a sweet drink without coffee, there’s also an anko latte, made with sweet bean paste and milk, for 600 yen. It’s described as a sweet drink similar to oshiruko, a warm red-bean soup. The menu also lists tea from Ilam, grape juice with no added sugar, and apple juice made with 100% apples from Aomori Prefecture.
You can eat in or take your order away. Mahoraba Coffee is an option whether you’d like to enjoy coffee and something sweet inside or take a drink with you.
